Kelli B. Marshall
Strategy. Systems. Sustainable Results.
Kelli B. Marshall founded Vine Elements after two decades on the other side of the table.
She has been a founding principal, the CEO and Superintendent of a charter network, and SVP of School Support at The Mind Trust, the Indianapolis education funder and school incubator that launches and invests in the city's new schools. She has opened schools, grown them, evaluated them for funders, and led one through a board-directed consolidation. She knows what it costs to be the only person in the room who will be held responsible for the decision.
That is the work Vine does now. Kelli brings evidence, structure, and honest counsel to leaders and boards at the moments that determine what a school becomes.
The Experience Behind the Work
With two decades of leadership experience, Kelli Marshall has led transformational work across schools, networks, and education non-profit teams to strengthen academic outcomes and build sustainable systems.

Before founding Vine Elements, she served as Senior Vice President of Schools at The Mind Trust, supporting more than 20 charter and innovation network schools and driving measurable academic gains across the portfolio.
Kelli led the scale of the Indy Summer Learning Lab, serving more than 5,000 students annually and achieving steady gains that exceeded 20 percentage points in ELA and math proficiency by the program’s fourth year. The model’s success led to statewide expansion, doubling access to high-quality summer learning.
Executive Experience
Appointed by the board as Chief Executive Officer of Tindley Accelerated Schools, Kelli led and directed the consolidation of a six-school charter network, strengthening academic quality and long-term financial sustainability. As Founding Principal of Tindley Collegiate Academy, she launched Indiana’s first all-girls middle school, recognized as one of the state’s top-performing charter schools.
She also served as Chief Academic Officer for GEO Academies and as Founding School Leader of GEO Next Generation High School–Indianapolis, where she launched and led the replication of a quality high school model centered on college immersion and workforce readiness. In partnership with the CEO, she forged partnerships with higher education institutions and local organizations to provide students with early college access and real-world career pathways.
Her experience further includes serving as an Adjunct Professor at Butler University, where she taught graduate-level coursework on school improvement for three cohorts of aspiring principals.
